A Home Without a Hearth
You killed me today.
It was a silent scuffle
And the body left the fight unscathed
My body continued to walk, to sleep, to eat, and to breathe.
My vessel carried on
As though it never realized
that its only occupant had vanished.
I died today.
It was as simple as arithmetic
and not a soul felt my disappearance.
